Our adventure in 7 days

Induction in Rabat

Bags packed and ready to go, the group will board their plane to Casablanca where they will be greeted by a UniHawk staff member, holding a sign or wearing a t-shirt that identifies them. We will take a private coach to reach Rabat which will take approximately 1 hour.

Exploring & Planning

Staff will guide students as they explore the city, allowing them to familiarize themselves with the area. They'll appreciate the stunning architecture of the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Hassan Tower.

Next, students will dive into creating engaging lesson plans for local schoolchildren while strategizing how to efficiently use their time for building renovations Local education experts will provide them with a crash course on effective practices for working with children.

Teaching and Renovation Work

The rest of the week is dedicated to introducing new and creative ways of teaching children. The students have the scope to become more creative as they discover new ways to get the most from their class.

As the school day ends and children head home, volunteers continue their efforts to make education more fun, visually appealing, and informative.

They paint the walls of classrooms, turning them into bright, inviting, and engaging places to learn.

Amazing Marrakesh

While students grow fond of Rabat, it’s essential to explore some of Morocco's other cities.

Marrakesh, a former capital, boasts the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Medina. Our staff and local guides will lead the group through its ancient streets and impressive fortifications.

From the Marrakech Museum to the Dar Si Said Palace, students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich culture and history of this remarkable country.

Social and cultural activities

In the evening, we’ll take the students to browse the vibrant local markets where they can practice their communication skills as they haggle over the price of fresh produce.

Next, they'll take a culinary lesson and prepare delicious dishes infused with the vibrant flavors of Moroccan markets.

After their project work in the evenings, students will have the chance to connect with locals for cultural exchanges and participate in guided discussions. They'll compete in quizzes about local culture, enjoy fragrant mint tea by the River Bouregreg, and learn some Moroccan Arabic.
