Public Speaking Champion | Philosophy, University of Cambridge

About Wisam A-F

Wisam is the 2018 Champion of the Jack Petchey ‘Speak Out’ Challenge, the world’s largest public speaking competition for young people. She was later honoured to return as Master of Ceremonies at the following year’s competition helping adjudicate the tournament. From there, her passion for debate only deepened.

As a Philosophy undergraduate at the University of Cambridge, she honed her debating skills in lectures and supervisions, often stepping into the role of devil’s advocate. This training was complemented with her active membership of the Cambridge Union, where she learned how to deal with the fiery exchanges, impossible student questions, and the House of Commons-style theatrics of cheers and boos of the ancient debating chamber.

Having graduated from the University of Cambridge this summer, she is ready to embark on a career in international education.
